Most projects begin with Technical Discovery unless a defined scope already exists. Final pricing depends on system complexity, documentation requirements, safety risk, travel, parts, schedule pressure, and commissioning uncertainty.

Walkthrough & scope
30-minute call, sometimes a site visit. We leave with a one-page scope, a budget range, and a yes/no on whether we're the right engineering partner.
Decision memo + quote
Written quote with a fixed price or clear T&M cap, line-item deliverables, and the design or procurement decisions that have to be locked before work starts.
Refine, prototype, procure
Weekly check-ins, shared drawings and BOMs, and visible design decisions. We refine the concept, coordinate prototypes, and source what the project actually needs.
Deploy, document, hand off
Start-up support, signed punch-list, documentation package, operator walk-through, and a clean handoff so the next team is not guessing.
